I design sock patterns, host knit-a-longs, and knit blankets—all inspired by the journey from seed to flower to naturally dyed yarn.
For me, every stitch begins in the garden. The plants I grow and gather become the colours that bloom across my work, whether in a pair of handknit socks or a blanket meant for cozy evenings. Natural dyeing is at the heart of my process, connecting me to the rhythms of the seasons and reminding me that creativity often starts with something simple—like a petal, a leaf, or a root.
At Petal & Purl, I share this process with you through:
Knitting patterns designed with nature’s palette in mind. Knit-a-longs where we can gather as makers, knit side by side, and cheer each other on. Behind-the-scenes glimpses into my dye pots, design sketches, and works-in-progress.
Whether you’ve joined me to knit socks, wrap yourself in a naturally dyed blanket, or learn more about the art of colour from nature, I hope you feel at home here.
Pull up your project, pour a cup of tea, and let’s knit something beautiful—together.
